there's so much wrong with this statement I don't even know what to say, so if you choose to stay with Windows 10 because 11 has problems for you (like it did for me when I upgraded and the performance with my VR headset and some old games was noticeably worse and I had to rollback to Win10) or you just like Win10 more, you're just doing it because " you want to be edgy or special" according to you, even though nobody is claiming that and you're just randomly assuming this and making it up, also how is Win10 a lesser OS when Win11 is just a reskin of Win10 with some objectionable changes on top? You're not edgy or special or unique because you choose to stay on a lesser operating system Weird, in all benchmarks that I've seen it's either the same or slightly slower or negligibly faster 1-2% Even in the past five years, Microsoft has added so much bloat into the Windows OS, and changed so many features that it's practically unusable for many people. As other people said, Windows 12 is allegedly supposed to come out in the near future, so I'd wait until it comes out and then compare the three for yourself.Īnd finally, if you're a technically savvy power-user, or if you care about your personal privacy, data tracking, OS bloat, etc, like myself: ABSOLUTELY NOT, NEVER. Also made a lot of questionable changes from Windows 10 from what I hear. Windows 11 has had a lot of problems from the get-go, both technical and logistical, many of which are still unresolved. If you're in the vast majority of users who care about their PC's basic utilities, interface, and general functionality: no, especially if you're on Windows 10 currently. If you're a complete novice internet/ technology user who barely knows wtf is going on, and only care that you have access to your emails and the web, sure, it probably wouldn't make a difference to you lol. Post fresh install, install all of the drivers you’ve downloaded, then any other programs, games etc, and you’re good to go. I do have multiple drives so I even go to the lengths of unplugging them so I don’t delete the wrong drives. BUT, very importantly, if you have multiple PHYSICAL drives be very careful. I tend to ho the full nuclear option and delete all partitions on the drive I am installing onto. You then boot the computer from this flash drive and go through a Windows installation process. You can download the Windows 11 iso directly from Microsoft, then using a seperate usb flash drive of at least 8gb, make an Windows installation flash drive. If your usb drive has enough capacity, you can backup all of your installed games, which can save you some downloads. If you have modded games, make a note of the mods and copy them to the usb. Also very important to ensure that you have the network drivers, for both Ethernet and wifi if you have it.

Backup all of your documents to the usb as well. I prepare for a full install by having a good sized usb drive, eg external usb, that i have all of the software needed to reinstall.ĭownload all of the drivers for your motherboard, videocard, and put them on a usb.
